Out of sight out of mind
Fade into the background
Buried in oblivion
Lost but not forgotten
Out of sight out of mind
Swept it under the rug
Nothing's really going on
Til you shine a light on
Off the map
Out of the loop
Dropping off the face of the earth
Out of sight out of mind
Gone but not forgotten
Gone but not forgotten
Gone but not forgotten
Out Of Sight Out Of Mind Lyrics
Listen while you read
Fade into the background
Buried in oblivion
Lost but not forgotten
Out of sight out of mind
Swept it under the rug
Nothing's really going on
Til you shine a light on
Off the map
Out of the loop
Dropping off the face of the earth
Out of sight out of mind
Gone but not forgotten
Gone but not forgotten
Gone but not forgotten
What “Out Of Sight Out Of Mind” means
“Out Of Sight Out Of Mind” is an ode to what you sweep under the rug. The phrase is similar to “ignorance is bliss.” We all have things we'd rather not think about. Sometimes you need to face ugly things in order to improve as a person. Other times, it's simply not helpful to dwell on the past. But the human brain can't really delete anything, so we each have our own dumpster for the things we wish not to acknowledge. Buried. Lost but not forgotten.
