Privacy
This site is a small, independent music website. I don't sell your data, run ads, or ask you to create an account. Here's what happens when you visit.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and links people use, such as which streaming service a listener picks. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects things like the pages you view, your approximate location (city or country), your device and browser, and how you arrived. I only see these as totals and trends, not who you are. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on or any tracker-blocking extension.
Newsletter
If you sign up for the newsletter, your email address goes to a mailing list hosted by Mailchimp. It's used only to send Darksoft news, such as releases, shows and merch. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
The site remembers in your browser (local storage) when you've seen or closed the signup popup, so it doesn't keep showing it. That stays on your device.
Outside services
Like most websites, this one relies on outside services for things like hosting, fonts and icons, music players, videos, and tour-date and support widgets. When your browser loads them, those services can see your IP address and basic browser details, and some may set their own cookies. Their own privacy policies apply.
Links to streaming services, shops and social media take you to those sites, and their policies apply there too.
