Darksoft Releases New Album Everydayness
A dream pop and shoegaze album about everyday routines, out now.
Everydayness is Darksoft’s eighth studio album, self-released on Friday, March 6th, 2026.
It’s available to order on vinyl and CD, made on demand through Elastic Stage, and on cassette only at shows. The album is self-released under Darksoft’s imprint, Look Up Records. You can stream it on Spotify and all other major streaming platforms, or pick up a digital copy on Bandcamp.
The sound and the artwork
Everydayness blends dream pop and shoegaze, pairing shimmering, jangly guitars with driving drums and introspective lyrics.
The album artwork, by artist Jameson Martin, features an analemma: an infinity symbol created by photographing the sun from the same spot over the course of a year. Like the artwork, the concept album reflects on everyday existence, pondering the cyclical nature of life and day-to-day routines. Its goal is to find beauty in the mundane.
Made at home
All parts were written, played and recorded by Darksoft using real instruments in his home studio: voice, drumset, guitars, bass, outboard synthesizers, percussion and sound effects. The album was mixed and mastered by Brian Fisher.
Lauren Lakis sings on track 7, “Irons In The Fire.” Track 5, “As Above So Below,” features vocals by Sandy.
Music videos
Everydayness is released alongside homemade VHS and lo-fi music videos for “Spend Your Days” (single released Friday, January 16) and “Too Little Too Late” (single released Friday, February 20), plus “Constant Change” and “Grain of Salt,” with more to come.
