Where that record dwelt on the subjective and fluid, Rationalism answers with clarity and groundedness: how we come to know things, rationalize them, and process them. Calmer and earnest, it balances color with darkness and energy with ease.

Psych-synth textures, infectious melodies, and '90s alternative rock undertones blend computer-age anxiety with raw human emotion.
- [Brain](https://www.darksoft.band/discography/brain/) (2018, Look Up Records): Darksoft's debut album, named after the first PC computer virus. Most songs take their titles from infamous computer viruses and security flaws (Mydoom, Code Red, ILOVEYOU, Heartbleed), using the language of viruses and algorithms to sing about very human feelings.
